TSL Stepper Motor Linear Actuator Series
TSL linear stepper motors can be divided into: external‑drive linear stepper motors (including lead‑screw and ball‑screw types), through‑shaft linear stepper motors, linear‑slide stepper motors, and permanent‑magnet linear stepper motors.
External‑drive Linear Stepper Motors
In an external‑drive linear stepper motor, the lead screw is integrated with the motor rotor. When the screw rotates and the nut is prevented from rotating by an external mechanism, the nut moves linearly along the screw.
Through‑shaft Linear Stepper Motors
In a through‑shaft linear stepper motor, the nut is integrated with the motor rotor, and the lead screw passes through the center of the rotor. When the screw is prevented from rotating and the rotor turns, the screw moves linearly.
Lead‑screw Linear Slide Stepper Motors
In a lead‑screw linear slide stepper motor, the motor drives a lead screw, while the screw and the guide rail are integrated into a compact slide module. When the screw rotates and the slider is constrained by the guide mechanism to prevent rotation, the slider moves linearly along the rail.
PM Linear Stepper Motors
Permanent‑magnet linear stepper motors use a permanent‑magnet rotor to produce linear motion. Depending on the design, they can also be built with threaded lead‑screw mechanisms, linear‑slide modules, or through‑shaft structures.
