Coreless Vibration Motor
The coreless DC motor differs from traditional iron core motors by lacking a magnetic core in the rotor. Its unique coreless rotor/stator design addresses the common issues found in conventional motors. The coreless cup motor features a cup-shaped coil made entirely of copper wire. This coil is connected to the main shaft via a commutator and connecting plate, forming the rotor. These components, typically made of plastic and epoxy, secure the wires and transmit torque.
The coil rotates within the air gap, driving the rotor. This design reduces energy loss from eddy currents in the core, decreases rotational inertia, and enhances torque and acceleration. Coreless DC motors are compact, efficient, and customizable, offering low inertia and high performance. They are widely used in applications such as toy cars, drones, electric toothbrushes, and medical devices.
